Vocational teaching in the UK has a problem.
The problem is its perceived inferiority, compared with the academic route.
But does it have to be this way?
During the pandemic I took a temporary job at a Supermarket.
What shocked me was the number of graduates working there.
Theres nothing wrong with working at a Supermarket of course.
But many of these graduates had been there for a few years.
They had not trained in retail management, and were working as customer service assistants.
