Tuning an induction motor for increased performance.
Induction motors are everywhere.
From factories to ships.
Can an induction motor have its performance modified?
Induction motors consist of two main parts.
The two parts are the Stator and the Rotor.
Stator
What is it
A stator is a wound coil of copper wire.
The stator is located within the metal case of the induction motor.
Stators can be one single coil or three separate coils.
Single coil types are used in Single Phase Induction Motors.
Stator coils with three separate coils are used in three-phase motors.
The stator coil is a round shape, which allows the Rotor to fit between it.
