Electrical maintenance training is a passion of mine.
The maintenance of electrical-based systems is constantly evolving.
Increasingly automated condition monitoring is replacing some tasks previously monitored manually.
As a teenager, I undertook an EITB work-based apprenticeship.
This gave me broad-based practical skills in both electrical and mechanical engineering tasks.
Examples of what I learned included electrical maintenance, mechanical fitting, turning & welding.
I’ve long been passionate about encouraging more people to work in vocational careers.
I was privileged to teach at the world-renowned ‘South Shields Marine School.
Marine apprentices were taught practical electrical maintenance.
